Lauryn Nagy, RMT

I view Massage Therapy as the ideal combination of science-based techniques & holistic methods to achieve wellness & bring awareness to the body. Whether it be postural imbalances, muscular tension, overuse injury, or chronic pain.

Growing up as an avid athlete & leading an active lifestyle has shown me the importance of maintaining a healthy active lifestyle as well as listening to the body and its needs. I grew up dealing with chronic migraines since the age of 11. Getting my first massage at an early age showed me the importance of taking care of my body. Over the years, massage therapy has been the one thing that consistently helps my migraines.

This lead me perfectly to the path of massage therapy - a holistic approach to helping the body.

Graduating Kikkawa College in Toronto in 2017, I immediately opened my own Massage Therapy clinic thus Sage Wellness Clinic was created!

I look forward to collaborating with you on your health & wellness goals - whether they are to help promote relaxation or for pain relief.

I am dedicated to helping each and everyone person reach their wellness goals!

When I was younger, I played competitive lacrosse.

I started to develop injuries at a young age and when I was 12, I had my first massage.

As I got to learn about my own injuries, I then became more interested in the human body!

I graduated from Elmcrest College in 2011 and have been working ever since.

I started out at multi-disciplinary clinics working with Motor Vehicle Accident Injuries and sports related injuries. Eventually within a few months, I decided to take a leap of faith and branch out to do house calls.

It was always a goal of mine to go study Thai massage in Thailand, and I made the  goal a reality in less than a year of working.

I have worked with all kinds of clients; from motor vehicle clients, to professional athletes, to people who are just looking for energy and healing !

I believe that the body is best treated as a whole, as it works together. My philosophy is if I can get to the root of the problem, I will be able to help my clients symptoms lessen.

My specialties are Thai Massage, Fascial Stretch Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Active Release Technique, and Cupping.

Hello! It is a pleasure to meet everyone!

During my time at Humber College in the Massage Therapy program, I was able to gain experience in multiple different populations.

I am very excited to be a part of the Sage Wellness Clinic team, as I know my knowledge will continue to expand on a daily basis. I am very pleased to share the art of Massage Therapy with everyone in the Orangeville area along with those in the surrounding areas.

When I was 14, I got braces on, and that triggered a TMJ disfunction to the point where my jaw was almost locked completely. My orthodontist wanted to do surgery and thanks to my mom we explored other potential options, which included massage therapy and osteopathy. In no time my jaw slowly unlocked, and surgery was out of the question. When thinking about other health science career choices I came across Massage Therapy and thought “why not give it a go”. I wanted to help people get through struggles like what I went through, all because of braces. I have always had a passion to help other people, no matter what struggles – physically or mentally, that people are going through. Well, 4 years later and here I am ready to pursue my dreams of holding a health sciences career, with a more holistic approach.

By the way, don’t let my size fool you, I may be small, but I am pretty mighty!

As an RMT, my passion is to promote the body’s own natural healing abilities through the use of various massage techniques. I look to help each patient restore their health & balance by viewing the body & mind as a whole. I'm dedicated to my patients & am driven to help them reach their wellness goals. My techniques include Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Myofascial Release & Cupping Therapy. I am also currently completing her 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training.

I became interested in health & wellness after training for 16 years as a competitive gymnast & later competing at the National level. My interest of the human body lead me to study Kinesiology at Brock University. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with Honours, I continued my education at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy & graduated in 2019. During my time at Sutherland-Chan, I had the opportunity to intern in various clinics. I've gained experience treating athletes pre- & post-competition, post-surgery outpatients, patients with mental health illnesses, seniors, stroke patients, pre- & post-natal woman and many others. These internships have helped me gain experience in working with a wide variety of patients.

I am looking forward to helping you with your healing journey through massage therapy!
